TAMPING TOOLS      One of the main reasons for valve or pump packing failure, and higher emissions, is packing consolidation over a period of time after the pump or valve is in service. If the person installing does not tamp each ring to the bottom as they pack the stuffing box this problem can become even worse. These tamping tools can be cut down to your shaft and bore sizes and reused over and over again to pack a stuffing box correctly.  These tamping tools are made in a valve version and pump version and can be ordered for the cross section of packing you are installing. PACKING HOOKS                                                                                     CLICK HERE FOR A PRINTABLE LIST Getting all the packing out of the pump or valve is the first job in a packing installation job. These tools will help you get it done more efficiently. Always remember, packing hooks were designed to use two at a time to prevent breaking off the tips. These can be ordered with replacable tips also so that you don't have to throw away the whole packing hook when you break a tip.

PACKING KNIVES

   Packing knives are designed to cut the fibers that are used to make pump and valve packings.

SURECUT PACKING CUTTER

   The Surecut packing cutter is designed to cut 45 degree or butt cut rings in the field. Remember to use butt cuts for pump packing, and 45 degree cuts for valve packing.
